Ina is an award-winning digital new media artist living and working in Singapore. Ina holds a MFA from UCLA, is a Japan Foundation Fellow, and a member of both the Singapore-China Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (SCAAST) as well as the Union of Slovene Fine Art.
Currently, Ina is an Assistant Professor at the Nanyang Technological University at the School of Art, Design and Media, where she has been working since 2007. Her current research in 3D stereo immersive theater, supported by the Institute for Media Innovation and School of Art, Design and Media, received an award for 3D stereo innovation at the 2013 New Media Festival in the United States, as well as Awards of Excellence for Animation from the Los Angeles Movie Awards.
The work will be featured in famous Deep Space Ars Electronica Festival in Linz Austria in September 2013 and in ZKM, Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe, Germany in October 2013. Referring to animated films as “unframed paintings”, Ina’s works innovatively combine digital animation and stereo to fit diverse media spaces.
